Our Treatment Philosophy

We sincerely believe that each of our clients has the capacity to heal within themselves. Essential to the healing process is the client's inherent responsibility to partner with us, so that we may assist each client with their own unique healing process.

We are excited to work with each client. It is a very trusting and professional relationship we seek to nurture and expand. Personal attention to and validation of each client’s health issues are core to our program. Confidentiality and professionalism are absolute. Openness and trust by the client are encouraged, but only at the pace and level determined by each client. For more information about healing and inspiration, please click here.

Our goal is to assist and support each of our clients through the healing process. We have had our own challenges in life and can empathize with many of the struggles our clients are going through. Each client brings to the session their own belief system, values, and goals. We are there to support our clients and not to judge or interfere with their own path toward healing. Our job is to facilitate as best we can within the scope of our license and to offer referrals ancillary health services or fitness programs that may augment your treatment in our clinic.

Each of you is special, very special. We thank you for your trust in us. We honor each client that enters our door, and the opportunity to witness your growth and transformation.

Mission of Fairhaven Center for Structural Medicine

Our tag line is "... advancing structural integration", which sums up the main focus of our clinic and staff. We are constantly attending new workshops and expanding the breadth of our knowledge and skills in the exciting, growing field of structural integration (SI). Our goal is to spread the word about SI to our local community, medical, and alternative medical community. We seek partners in all areas of health care.

We both have a strong passion for our work, being two lucky individuals who have made our passion our work. We strive to advance structural integration by:

  • Providing quality education for our clients
  • Providing quality treatment and care of our clients
  • Advancing our knowledge and skills in the SI field
  • Offering professional study groups to share knowledge
  • Inviting other professionals to give workshops
  • Researching new advances in SI
  • Performing our own SI research
  • Mentoring and teaching new SI students
  • Forming professional relationships with SI colleagues
  • Forming partnerships with other health care providers
  • Offering introductions to SI for the lay person
  • Writing and offering new educational materials

Most important, we seek to stay present and open to all that is possible in this exciting field of manual therapy. We passionately believe in the power of touch, hands-on therapy, both in sensing what the body is communicating, and what we can do to facilitate the natural healing capacity of each clients soma, body, mind, and spirit.

We honor and respect each client and the sacred space we create together.
